New Book On Lionel Messi’s Life Launches In London on TONIGHT ~ Barcelona Vs Inter Milan

Lionel Messi is currently out injured with an arm fracture sustained in the 4-2 win against Sevilla on Saturday, but London-based fans of the brilliant Barcelona forward can get their dose of the Argentine attacker as a new book is launched in the capital tonight.

Barca are in action against Inter Milan in the Champions League this evening and, to coincide with the match, the new book Lionel Messi and the Art of Living will be celebrated at a special event in central London.

Author Andy West will join members of the Penya Blaugrana London, the official fan club for FC Barcelona supporters in the UK, at their traditional meeting place Bar&Co – ‘the party boat rocking the Thames’ – to watch the Champions League clash.

West, BBC Sport’s Spanish football writer, will present the ideas explored in the book at 7pm, an hour before kick-off, and then sell signed copies during half-time and after the game.

Bar&Co (below) is moored at Temple Pier and admission is free for all, sales by cash only.

Lionel Messi and the Art of Living, published on October 22nd, is described as “a bold, insightful and unique examination of a world famous sporting hero from an entirely new perspective, providing a context extending far beyond the football field.”

The book, which contains a number of extensive and exclusive interviews, including Messi’s close friend and former international team-mate Pablo Zabaleta, has been available in UK bookstores since Monday October 22nd and can be ordered online now at
