Lamar Odom: ‘Khloe Kardashian’s baby will be so spoiled’

Lamar Odom has joked that Khloe Kardashian’s baby is going to be very “spoiled”.

The 38-year-old former basketball player was married to Khloe between 2009 and 2015, with the pair finalising their divorce in 2016. Both have since moved on from the marriage, with Khloe expecting her first child with partner Tristan Thompson, and Lamar opened up about his feelings on the news during an interview with Access Hollywood.

“To tell you the truth, it couldn’t happen to a better person,” Lamar said in the clip of the interview, which airs in full on Monday (26Feb18). “I was really happy for her. If she could take care of a grown man for four years the way she took care of me, I know she could take care of a baby.”

But he added that the fact it’s Khloe’s first child, and the amount of rich relatives the tot will have, means it will be “one spoiled ass baby!”

Despite her separation from Lamar, Khloe was still on hand to help when he suffered an accidental drug overdose in Las Vegas in 2015 and went into a coma. Waking up in the hospital, the sportsman admitted he was more than happy to see his estranged spouse at his bedside – although he struggled to tell her how he felt.

“I remember how good it felt. Actually I didn’t really remember what happened. When I first woke up, I couldn’t talk or walk, so I was really scared, but I was happy to see her. I tried to talk, but I couldn’t. I tried to tell her how much I loved her,” he smiled.

Lamar also spoke about Khloe’s mother Kris Jenner, crediting the momager for helping him and Khloe wed in 30 days and admitting “I miss her a lot”. And of Khloe’s “itty bitty” half-sister Kylie Jenner, who recently became a first-time mother herself after giving birth to daughter Stormi, Lamar said: “That’s great news as well… She’s changed a lot. I’m happy for her.”
