Governor Fayose Goes Hard On Buhari Again Over Government’s Performance
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for the umpteenth time, asking the President to resign over his “cluelessness and inability to steer the ship of the country.
Governor Fayose stated this in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.
According to the governor, President Buhari has failed to successfully combat corruption and insecurity in the country.
Making reference to the recent kidnap of over 100 students Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, Governor Fayose said the reoccurrence of such act after the president’s failed promise to rescue the Chibok girls is a signal that “he must take a bow and return home.”
“For a President that was elected because he promised to fight corruption and clear the North-East of the Boko Haram insurgents within three months, the signs that he must take a bow and return home are clear.
“President Buhari promised Nigerians that he would bring back the missing Chibok Girls and defeat Boko Haram within three months.Advertisements
“After more than 32 months in office, Boko Haram is still killing Nigerians, while the herdsmen are also on a killing spree.
“Painfully, the same Boko Haram they claimed to have defeated suddenly became strong enough to kidnap over 100 students. This is unacceptable.”
Governor Fayose has been a relentless critic of the Buhari administration since it was inaugurated in May 2015.
