BREAKING!! PANIC IN BORNO AS BOKO HARAM ATTACKS MAGUMERI
The number of casualties is yet unknown as gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram extremist group attacked a community in Magumeri, a local government headquarters in Borno state.
Premium Times reports that the insurgents attacked the community around 6pm Sunday, January 13.
The details of the attack are still sketchy as at the time of filling this report but this isn’t the first attack launched on the community by the Boko Haram insurgents.
The community was first attacked on November 25, 2017, during which three soldiers were killed while six others got injured.
The Nigerian Army had then blamed the November 2017 attack on the collusion of the residents with the insurgents; an allegation that was rebuffed by leaders of the community.
