AJIMOBI: Role Model For Younger State Men – Popular OAP, Adejare Amuda
Popular Ibadan based Broadcast-Journalist and OAP Adejare Amuda has described the former governor of Oyo state late Senator Abiola Ajimobi who passed on last thursday as a fearless and role model to younger state men and growing politicians.
Amuda expressed this during a virtual summit of Young & Talented Initiatives (YOTI)
Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the first governor to have served straight eight years (two terms) in the history of the state died in first cardiologists Hospital in Lagos while reportedly gave up the ghost due to multiple organ failure after contracting corona virus.
In his condolence message to the families and close associate of the late governor, Amuda remind political office holders, stakeholders and people at the helms of affairs about inevitability of death to all mortal shall taste death.
“His brilliance, Fearlessness and leadership charisma should serve as lesson to growing politicians, because you can not push Senator Abiola Ajimobi, which is one of the major characteristics of good leader, Oyo State will miss him but am telling you Yoruba Race would missed him dearly because he left at time Yoruba race need to push experienced, fearless and disciplined leaders forward to press home what belongs to its region.
I hold one of his many words in my heart, the late governor said; “its not enough to conjure something in your brain, it’s not enough to be able to put something on paper, it is your ability to take vital decision that will be of benefit to his people. Everybody want to tell you what to do no, a good leader take his people where they want to be, a good leader take his people to where they ought to be”. I considered this Senator Ajimobi’s word on marble”Amuda added.
He also urged younger state men to always put interest of their people at heart whenever they have opportunity to serve in public positions or corridor of power.
“Senator Ajimobi has done his part, political leaders and growing politicians should learn to be more closer to their creator and make sure their good deeds surpassed their inequalities and bad deeds”, Adejare Amuda added.
